A CompactFlash card can be used as a fixed disk, as it is defined in the CompactFlash specification. However, Transcend does not support using our commercial solutions, including the CF133/400/600/800/1000, in Fixed Disk mode, as this has gone beyond the scope of their intended use. Therefore, all of our commercial CF cards are shipped, by default, in Removable mode.
